Will not be able to make minimum payment on my credit cards for 2 months. What should I do?

Due to time off of work, in July I am not going to be able to make the minimum payment on my credit cards. I will be able to catch everything up in August or even possibly the end of July. I will only be able to make less than the min. payment but I will pay something. Is some payment better than NO payment? As far as my credit score. Also, I have two horrible credit card (interest rates, annual fees, etc.). I want to pay them off and get rid of them. What is the best way to go about this.

Call the credit card comanies involved and make a deal with them. Many times they will work with you if you call ahead.
Pay them off if they are at least 12 months old, or keep them until they are, and make sure you have at least 3 open lines of credit.
