Two Judgements on my report are more than 10 years old.

I have two judgements on my credit report that are actually over 10 years old. one is to helig-meyers.when i tried to pay them years ago they said they could except no money, they were headed for bankruptcy. my husband also has an illinois state tax lein on his report that is over 10 years old. are there statutes of limitations for state taxes and bankrupt companies. also , isn't there a written law that keeps people from putting all these old debts on our credit reports. we make almost $100,000.00 per year and cannot get loans with anyone but high interest lenders. sincerely
Fix My Credit report. Judgement are errors and too old

this one should get old stuff anf rouge stuff off

BUT

sounds to me like you do not have 3 lines of currently open GOOD credit.
If your last two years showed good open credit you could get what you want.

So my experience tells me you problem lies a little deeped than the question above.
