I tried contacting the collection agency to remove the negative collection once i paid in full and they said this was illegal, but they could send a letter that says paid in full...Is it illegal for a collection agency to remove a collection with a letter to the credit bereaus?
I also tried to contact the original creditor (CentraCare) who said they have nothing to do with it since it has been turned over to a acollection agency, but yet they will still accept payments on the account...It does not make alot of sense to me. CentraCare said any negioation has to be done with the collection agency, but it seems like every one i speak with at the collection agency says they don't delete collections!!! Please help...This collection is $117.00 and has been on there since 12/06...
Thanks,
