I have a credit score of 582. I have paid off all debts that were in collections. They were mostly medical bills. I did not know about negotiating total removal prior to paying them off. I don't know if it makes a difference, but many of the bills were for my daughter, which my ex-husband eventually paid me to pay off. However, I'd really like my credit score improved, as you can imagine. What would you suggest?Peggy

I would dispute any that are old and may be your daughters. Say not your and hope for the best.
Get at least three open rated credit lines
