My mom had a new roof put on her house and she used home depot credit. The cost was 27,000. She put my husband and me on the account as authorize users. She did this without our consent. We are currently in a legal battle with her so communication with her is not possible. Now this debt of 27,000 shows up on our credit report. I called home depot and told them that we do not want to be on the account and we did not consent to be authorized users. They removed us as authorized users. How do I get this amount off our credit reports? Any advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
