My fiancee and I recently pulled up his 3-in-1 credit report and noticed discrepancies on all bureau but mostly on the Experian Credit Bureau. We called all agencies listed on the report and they verified that although it was the same name the accounts had different social numbers and mailing addresses. When I spoke to a representative of one of the listed agencies, he stated that Experian goes first by name, then address and then social security number. Is that true? If so, how is that fair to the millions of people that share the same name? Also I read on your blog that you should write about 4 accts at a time, well we are dealing with about 11!!!! 11 mistakes from Experian, all already confirmed by the collection agencies, which also stated it wasn't rare of Experian to mix identities up. Also when you state on your blog to send a copy of the credit report, is it the whole 12 pages or just the part in concern (may sound like a silly question but want to do this right), and the credit report shows each item with each credit bureau right next to each other. If I send a dispute item to Experian, should I covered the report from TransUnion and Equifax about such item, or doesn't really matter? Thank you so much!!!!!
---------------------------------------
is there anyone that I should write to regarding Experian.
I mean, I have 2 other people's security numbers, their address, phone, work place, spouse name, etc.
That makes me believe that my fiancee's info is in other people's report as well and may be use wrongly as well. Those are very delicate mistakes and unfair to those who have decent credit and are getting such credit denied. Is there such a thing as a company we could write to about Experian and complaint about their services.
I mean are the credit bureaus GOD? Is this the end of the road...writting them letter and hopefully updating our information at their convenient time, or can we write to CRA?
------------------------------
you can complain to your state consumer affairs division, attorney general, bbb, chamber of commerce and even file small claims in the proper area for such claims.
Plus you can dispute and validate to lay documanted groundwork for your claims.
---------------------------------
Sorry got a little lost on the "plus you can dispute and validate to lay documented groundwork for your claims", can you ellaborate a little more for me?
------------------------------
you should dispute with the bureaus and the collections agencies
you should validate the debt with the collection agencies and follow up if they do not fully comply
if they miss represent themselves you can complain to the state attorney or consumer affairs, bbb, chamber, or file siut in small claims or more.

Hi, Bo. I played football for your dad, Bill, on the UT freshman team in 1961 and for your grandfather, Shirley, at Sewanee during the 1964 and 1965 seasons. Oh, and I also played at Tullahoma High prior to that. I found you by Googling "oskie" to find out if anyone was still using that term for an intercepted pass. Evidently some still are.
