I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy in 1999 in Minnesota

I filed a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in 1999 in Minnesota. The bankruptcy still shows on, and affects my credit. It's been more than 7 years. I know some states can show for 10 years, but how do I find out? How can I have it removed?
