I had a judgment against me but before it went to court I paid the money owed .I tried to get a loan and they said that I have a judgment on my credit that is inactive .I called the court and they said is was released and satisfied that for some reason it still shows up inactive. What should I do to get this off or corrected

What should I do to get judgment off my credit that is inactive
eviction on me, judgement listed against me in the apartment favor
Quoting REAL PERSON
Dear Sir,
I noticed that you said that matters of law cannot be removed from your credit report, but I have a question regarding if I have a case on a matter that affected me a couple of years ago.
I moved into an apartment complex in April 2004, June I was injured while at work when I stepped off a curb and severely hurt my ankle. When you are working a job as a new car salesman in a 100% commission sales position, if you are injured you cannot work.
Anyway, I approached my apartment complex and let them know that I would probably be a little late with my rent because my sales were impacted because of my injury and the economy was tough enough as it was and people were just not buying new cars hardly.
They filed for eviction on me, I received a letter from the County Courts telling me that the complex filed on me. Furious, I confronted the management and they told me if I moved out of my apartment before the date on the letter then there won't be any consequences.
I moved out after trying unsuccessfully to come up with the money so I would not have to move. I recently got my credit report and I found two things that really made me go ballistic. #1 The county has a sort of judgement listed against me in the apartment favor. #2 After being in the apartments for barely two months and they made me move, they are requesting I owe them almost $3,000.00.
This is just wrong deceitful and down right scandalous, you mean to tell me there is nothing I can do? I was victimized and lied to. I like to know am I screwed, can the FTC intervene here or is there a way an attorney can fight this for me.
Regards,
REAL PERSON

This is the typical lease aggreement consequences....
All I can say is you are obligated to pay them under the terms of the lease and by law they can do just as you have stated. If you pay them or get back in they would take the item off your credit I think.
Sorry I can not be of more help

Transunion keeps asking me to give them a file # when I call

Transunion keeps asking me to give them a file # when I call. I ordered my report online and I do not see a file# anywhere. I also need this file # to dispute information.
This is very frustrating!!

You need a file number to talk to a real person....
You should not need a file number to use my free universal dispute form

I think TU has a online dipute form ..... you do not need a file # there
either...i think.....
they want the file number to market buying the report directly from them
rather than a third party TU report.....

United Airlines, Chase credit card. show 90 days late on my credit
I have a United Airlines, Chase credit card. They sent me a solicitation for another one and I would get enough miles for a free round trip ticket so I think I agreed. But when it came I did not use it, because I thought I did not want the hassle of another card. I have the original paper and cards that came with it. Instead I decided to order a card in my son's name and I think my husbands for them to use, but it came with the new account number, which I did not want, and I did not realize it until my son said his card did not work. I called Chase to see why it did not work when I know the account was paid and that is when I realized what happened. They told me they have never received one payment since the account opened. I told them I was unaware of the account being opened because I had changed my mind and thought it was not being used. No one ever called and didn't they think it was odd that I never made one payment when my other account is paid on time every month? I did not pay attention to the statements, which I only have one out of the three months, because I look at my purchases and make all my payments on line which they could verify .They told me it is going to show 90 days late on my credit.
I was very upset and we were leaving on vacation, so I paid the whole balance right then on the phone, which was $6000.00 to stop it and now that I am back and I want to get this off my report. I have not looked at my credit report for awhile, so I in fact do not know what has been reported.
We were victims of identity theft 7 years ago and it was still going on until a couple of years ago. We still have a couple of negatives from that which we were not able to get off. So I do not need any thing new. Prior to that our credit score was around 800.
Can you give me some ideas?
Thanks. REAL PERSON

The best thing I know is what you have already done bargain with chase....
One other idea is to place a 50-100 word explanation on your credit report for the lates....Just state your case so when someone pulls your report they can see what happened without an explanation from you on the spot...
Just write the letter and mail it to all three bureaus asking for attachment...
Remember that after 2 years pass the lates will not affect you as bad...I would pull my report and see what it looks like though.....If you are 90 days late it will also show 30 days late and possibly more than 1 time 30 days late.......
One might bargain to have ONE or 2 of the lates removed....or after a period of time have them all removed since credit cards normally only report for 24 months....I would keep the credit line open though...the first re action is to close the account....it actually looks better to get some CLEAN TIME after the lates.....it also keeps the credit company invested in your business.....
hope this helps....

My goal was to refinance my house
Quoting realperson.com:
Hello Bo:
My past credit history isn't the best, because of a bad relationship several years back my credit score went downhill mainly because I couldn't afford to make the payments on time. My credit score 2 yrs ago was in the low 500's. Two years ago I was able to buy a house, my financial situation improved, I been paying all my bills thru automatic bill pay thru my bank. Everything was going good! My goal was to refinance my house in June of 2006 ( I bought in 2004) my credit score went up to 640 and getting better all the time. I wasn't making ONE late payment!
About 6 months ago. My mortgage company sold my loan to CHASE mortgage. I mailed the first few payments on time. UNTIL! because I was determined to pay my bills on time I decided to enroll in CHASE'S automatic deduction payment service. I HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS GOING TO BACKFIRE ON ME! I sent all the forms to CHASE, next thing I knew I was a month behind.
THEY DID NOT INFORM ME THAT IT TOOK THEM 45 days to process my enrollment! The
> money was in the bank for them to take when the payment was due I WAS IN EUROPE FOR 15 DAYS and when I came back I got a call saying that I was a month late and that they were going to report it to the credit bureau. ( I immediately paid the outstanding balance for 2 months) I DIDN'T NOT RECEIVED A PHONE CALL OR A LETTER OR E MAIL telling me how long it took. I am a university student and I had planned to use the refinancing money to go to dentistry school very expensive!! I have been waiting until now JUNE 2006 to do this.
and precisely THIS MONTH! my credit score went down to 590 because of this! I was shocked my loan officer informed me that he cannot qualify me for the loan that I so desperately needed. I am in a state of shock! My future depended on this. I had plenty of money in my account at the time ( when I was out of the country) so making the payment wasn't a problem at all. What can I do about this problem. All I wanted was to make my payments on time, had I known this was going to happen I wouldn't have never let them (CHASE) screw me up like this.
Can you please offer any advise to me? like i said my future depends on it! thank you so much

This is something that can only be remedied through Chase....
It sounds like you exhausted all avenues with Chase already.....

I have a bad credit score 600 I hire lex law firm in November of 2005 to clean it up
Bo
Thank you for taking the time to read this and offer your help. I have a bad credit score 600 I hire lex law firm in November of 2005 to clean it up. Nothing has changed I paid my mortgage on time and just went to get a refinance and now my credit score is 580. This is after 8 months with Lex Law firm and many things are not supposed to be on there. I thought by hiring lex law firm that I was takign the right steps but credit score has actually went down. The people at lex law firm told me that many of the banks I just went to wells fargo use old credit reports. They said that info is more then likely at least 3 months old. Can this be true that the when banks run your credit check the information they get is at least 1 to 3 months old this answer made not sense with me. I have been paying these people to clean up my score for 8 months and now it is actually down. What can be done?
----------------------
I am not sure without seeing everything on your credit file and knowing what they might have worked on.....I do know that one can do most things without paying for a credit repair company but other might need the expertise to get stuff done.....stuff done.....I would wonder if you have not possibly had a late payment or a few inquiries or gone further indebt on an existing account. All three will make your score go down some.....30 points is not a huge fall.....SO I would hope lex law was of some help but one mus remember just because we pay someone money does not mean our credit will get better.....some accounts cannot be changed, removed or updated no matter who works on it....yes it can be true..
----------------------
I still have things on my credit report that are reported as a right off. That I paid with a loan from 99 I have the payout sheet from the mortgage company the account number even match. I would think things like this are correctable? IT is not only not true but have been paid off since 99 and I have the closeout from the mortgage company to prove it.
---------------------
If it is marked 99 it should fall off this year anyway
write offs or charge offs still show as bad credit but paid....the account should reflect paid but at this point it will fall off soon i would expect....of course the date of last activity should aslo show 99...
I would suspect something far greater to be of detrement than this account since scores are weighted more towrds the previous 2 years of credit activity....I would not think this account would have much beraing at this point...something more must be wrong....
