My credit report is a mess and I have read all most everything on your site and I have been working on my credit report. I have sent out 20 letters and I'm not getting any thing fixed. The Problems is: I had 4 credit card and lost my job and fell behind on them. Before I could get back on my feet the credit card companies: wrote them off, and then sold them to someone else. I tried to settle them but I didn't have enough money, so each company again wrote them off and each company sold them to someone else. This happen at least 6 times for each card. In the end, the cards each got sold and some of the companies didn't even notify me. The total amount of the cards was about $1500. At the end I settle with all 4 cards for over $5000.00.

A friend gave me a loan so I could fixes these mess. I settled
with Blatt,Hasenmiller,Laibsker and Moore, LLC on 5-26-05 for $1300.00 I got a credit report and Emerge and Jefferson Capital System were on it. I sent a dispute form on them asking them to charge it from wrote off to Payment after charge off-Settled less than full balance. And they will not do it.I sent every piece of paper I could to help them understand but they still will not fix it. My question is ? How can a company write a debt off, take credit on they income taxes for the write off and turn around an sell it to another company that does the same thing all over again?
Any help you can give me, I would be very thankful for.
